My diverse mental health background begins as a registered nurse for Los Angeles Co. at Olive View Medical Center, working inpatient services and the Psychiatric Emergency Room for 6 yrs. January 1991, I joined Jackson County Mental Health (JCMH) out-patient clinic and on-call at Rogue Valley Medical Center – Behavioral Health Unit. My duties included care for adults, teens and children; 2yrs weekly intensive training and care in DBT therapy; Training with WinterSpring for grief and loss; alcohol and drug treatment; nursing home PASRR evals for the state, and consultant for Developmentally Delayed clients living in group homes.
March 2006, I graduated with honors from Oregon Health and Sciences University with ANCC board certification as a PMHNP, Across the Lifespan. I provide Primary Mental Health care to individuals from early childhood to older adults (8-65yrs). My primary focus is medication management services; CBT and brief supportive/solution focused therapy.
My goal is to provide a collaborative partnership with clients and their families and help individuals make informed positive choices for themselves using an evidence-based approach.
